Once a month we will be
teaching the different applications of all the Janome feet and how
to use them for each application.
Must sign up for class
two weeks ahead, so we can have all the correct supplies for
each person.
*Those who
have purchased their machines from us do not have to pay the

Square in a Square Quilting Class with Nancy Pinkston |
Class Fee $30 |

Learn how easy it is to create beautiful triangle units “without
ever cutting or sewing a triangle unit”™. Basic speed piecing
methods will be taught which are essential to the Square in a
Square® method. Basic pattern adapting will also be taught.
Your piecing will never be the same again.

Unscheduled Classes |

Four's not a crowd,
it's a class. If you
and three friends are interested in learning something new
or just want to improve your sewing skills, sign up for
any of the classes below as a group. We will schedule the
class that you want around available day and dates.
Policy:
Class fees are required at time
of registration, two weeks prior to class date. Sewing supplies
are NOT included in the class fee. A class supply list will
be given at Registration. REFUNDS ARE ONLY GIVEN IF THE
CLASS IS CANCELED. Classes may be canceled if enrollment
is insufficient. One class per session can be rescheduled. |

Teen Summer Sewing Camps with Bonnie Allen |

Lafayette Sewing
Center presents Sewing Camps for children and teens (8-17).
Classes limited to 6 students. Register early. Classes include
learning the basics, from preparing the pattern, fabric and
getting acquainted with the sewing machine. Sewing machines will
be available.
Fee $135 (12 hours).
Fees are due at the time of registration either at Lafayette
Sewing Center (925-284-7920) or with the instructor Bonnie Allen
(925-685-7379). Patterns and a supply list will be given at the
time of registration.

| Zipper
Class with Bonnie Allen |
Class
Fee $35 |
| If
you know how to sew, but want to achieve better results by learning
how to apply a professional looking zipper, we have the right
class for you. This sample making class will feature three different
types of zipper applications: a railroad, lapped and invisible
zipper into a skirt with a waistband and also into the bodice
top of a garment including the facing at the same time (as it
is done in the industry). A fly-front zipper for pants will
also be featured. If there is time a welt-pocket will be taught. |

| Waist
Bands and Hems with Bonnie Allen |
Class
Fee $35 |
| In
this class you learn and make samples of several waist bands
and hems. Techniques will be demonstrated using Band-roll,
Waistshaper, fusible interfacing, contour waist band using
a cotton woven fusible, self interfaced band, waistband that
grows and no waist band at all.
Hems; Hong Kong
hem, hand stitched hems, double stitched using twin needles,
interfaced, serged, horsehair, rolled and baby hems )hand-rolled
and machine stitched). Kit Fee $5 |

to operate a sewing machine, sew simple seams and make a one-of-a-kind
pillow case. This is a great class for introducing your child
to basic sewing. |
